The Confederate submarine,The
Hunley, went down shortly after making history as the world's first submarine to sink an enemy vessel in combat. Senator
Glenn McConnell, who chairs The Hunley Commission, has been very involved in the excavation project and was also one of Kathryn's cast mates when the movie was shot in Charleston, South Carolina.
